PawSteps Veterinary Center is a growing companion animal practice which focuses on exceptional patient care and compassionate client relations. We are seeking a caring, team-oriented, enthusiastic technician to join our hospital.
Veterinary Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assisting with or performing patient treatments
Performing all aspects of anesthesia and surgical assistance
Providing patient dental care, ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, assisting doctor with dental surgery
Positioning patients and taking radiographs (including dental imaging)
Educating clients
Technician appointments: expressing anal glands, trimming nails, giving vaccines
Assisting veterinarian with outpatient appointments
Keeping the hospital clean and stocked
Reception/front desk duties as needed
Assisting in training and mentoring new team members
Assisting with inventory control
Preparing prescriptions
Qualifications:
Motivation, excellent communication skills, willingness to learn, positive attitude

1-2 years experience working as a veterinary technician in a practice
CVT License
College degree, preferably in Veterinary Technology/Animal Sciences, or High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
Availability to work some nights and weekends
