Opening available for a full-time CVT or appropriately experienced technician in a busy, seven doctor AAHA-accredited hospital that handles emergencies 24 hours a day along with in hospital 24 hour nursing care. Large, 12,000 square foot, well-equipped facility. We’re looking for the right person to complement an exceptional support staff of veterinary assistants, pet care specialists, and receptionists. Our doctor-to-technician-to-support-staff ratio is 1-to-4.5-to-8. You’ll do what you were trained to do. Motivated technicians with a strong work ethic, professional deportment, and leadership skills will find this position financially and professionally rewarding. A minimum of one year of small animal clinical experience is required.

We’re seeking a person who’s committed to the profession and to his/her co-workers and will put forth the extra effort needed to achieve the high-quality medicine and care our clients expect. As part of our team of technicians, you will become proficient in all areas of veterinary technology. From client communications to surgical assisting, we utilize our technicians to their full capability.

Although everyone on staff is responsible for keeping the hospital neat and clean, routine ward duties are not part of a technician's job description. Instead, technicians in our practice focus on technical duties so the doctor has time to diagnose, operate, and prescribe. You must be able to follow doctors’ orders for performing diagnostics and treatments and work effectively with veterinary assistants. Excellent phone triage skills and good teamwork are a must, and a sense of humor is always welcome!

Requirements:
• If presently certified, maintain certification in good standing. If not presently certified, must be willing to work towards certification eligible.
• Must adhere to uniform dress code

Compensation:
• Salary: is dependent upon experience but will range from $14.00 up (credentialed) and depending on skill and experience.
• Scheduled performance evaluations begin at three months of employment; salary adjustments are typically tied to the annual performance evaluation.
