Our staff is very service oriented and works well with our clientele. We have in-house digital radiology, digital dental radiology and full dental suite, with Idexx Lasercyte, Catalyst, and Sedivue in our lab. We use Idexx as our reference lab. We also have the services of a board certified cardiologist/ultrasonographer, and a board certified surgeon. Job Overview:

This position is weekdays only in our General Practice department. The Surgery Technician leads the surgery team by collaborating with the doctor and tech assistants each day to organize the patient flow. They are responsible for all aspects of patient care, anesthesia and surgery. They also educate and mentor student externs and other tech assistants. They are an integral part of our well established General Practice team.

Skills and Qualifications:

Small team centered fast paced small animal hospital in Laguna Niguel Ca.

 

Should possess the ability to place IV catheters, give injections, monitor anesthesia, able to use all lab equipment, digital x-ray equipment, ECG machine, take blood pressures, run treatment boards. Be able to communicate discharge instructions of patients prior to discharge, verify all charges are invoiced correctly.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Veterinary field as Technician.

Will train the right candidate for Lead position.

 

Certification is not a requirement but is suggested. If licensed, then must be current and up to date with proof of CE requirements completed for prior 2 years minimum.

We are a 6-day practice open 7am-6 pm Monday through Friday and 8am-12 pm on Saturdays. Minimum 10-hour shifts, including two weekends a month.
