The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, physical examinations and patient assessment, surgical preparation and assisting, dentistry, laboratory work, pharmacy, patient recovery, and compassionate care for our hospitalized patients.
Your teaching and marketing skills will also come into play, as you educate clients on the value of advanced veterinary care. We are looking for a powerhouse of a Veterinary Technician to supervise our team of technicians at VCA Paradise Valley Emergency Animal Hospital.
We are a well-established emergency animal hospital in Scottsdale that is open 4pm-8am Monday through Friday, and 24 hours on weekends and holidays.
The candidate MUST be able to work Thursday through Sunday and all major holidays. A variety of shifts are needed to supervise your staff and complete your weekly responsibilities, and that includes evenings and occasional overnights.
Ideally, our candidate will be a CVT in good standing, with experience in a supervisory role. You will be working on the floor alongside our staff while also providing training, scheduling, and people management. A passion for continuing education and career development is highly recommended as our Lead Technician would be expected to present and coordinate team training on a regular basis. Of course, a high level of technical skill would be required for consideration for this position. Previous emergency experience is HIGHLY preferred.
